Wedding dress shopping in 2021 (Coz Covid)
COVID-19 and Wedding dress shopping
If you have found this blog, you are most likely questioning how to buy a wedding dress giving the very difficult issue of Bridal shops being closed, and operating very differently when they are open…
We are here to say that as all our colleagues in the industry, we are doing our best to make this as easy and the experience you deserve.
Wedding dress shopping should be a wonderful day spent with your closest friends and family, maybe a celebratory champagne over brunch, and we know it totally sucks that can’t happen right now!
So… What can you expect? Like the rest of the world, we are finding ways to chat to brides via video chats. Much like an initial consultation, this is done with a member of our team, from our studio.
We like to have a chat with you and your nearest and dearest over a cuppa, or a tipple, if you prefer (we won’t judge). We can discuss the process of having a dress made and we love to see your Pinterest boards via screen share.
We can take you on a walk around of the shop, show you our collection of dresses and range of laces and fabrics.
We can do some rough sketches whilst on the call but then we are happy to post out some more formal designs out to you with some samples.
As we make mock ups of all our dresses, you can be sure a dress we designed will indeed suit you, and be 100000% happy before we make the dress in the chosen materials. We offer this for a fee of £150 with no obligation. When you do confirm though, this will come off your total.
As soon as we are open, we do a quick appointment to take your measurements, and get started. Depending on our tier level, we may or may not be welcoming guests, but if we take the emails of your chosen guests beforehand we can set up a video link and they can be involved from home.
You can be sure your trusted family and friends will be in awe and we do not want to dampen this experience, just their eyes, with tears of joy!
Whilst in the shop, we have put in extra measures to ensure we have a safe environment for you to feel completely at ease in.
We ensure there are no overlaps of appointments and we clean between each fitting. As well as steaming and quarantining our dresses for 72hours.
Obviously Masks are worn and hand sanitiser is readily available at numerous places in the studio. Where possible we limit the amount of time in our downstairs fitting room as there is limited space, but in our consultation area we can happily sit and chat.
